Frequently Asked Questions
Common Meta Business & WhatsApp API Issues
Why can’t I onboard WhatsApp because my Meta Business Portfolio is restricted?
If your Meta Business Portfolio has any restricted assets, WhatsApp onboarding will not be possible.
Restrictions may exist in:
- WhatsApp Accounts
- Ad Accounts
- Business Portfolio assets
How to fix
- Go to Meta Business Portfolio
- Open Settings
- Check:
- WhatsApp Accounts
- Ad Accounts
4. If any asset shows Restricted or Disabled, resolve the issue first.
After removing the restriction, you can continue onboarding in Flowbee.io.
Why does my WhatsApp get deactivated after onboarding?
This usually happens when business details do not match across your platforms.
Meta compares your information from:
- Website
- Facebook Page
- Instagram Account
- Meta Business Portfolio
If the details do not match, WhatsApp may be automatically deactivated.
How to fix
Ensure the following information is identical everywhere:
- Business Name
- Business Address
- Phone Number
- Website
- Business Category
Update these details in:
- Website
- Facebook Page
- Meta Business Portfolio
After correcting the information, reconnect WhatsApp.
Why am I unable to add a payment method in Flowbee.io or Meta?
This usually happens due to unsupported card types or disabled payment settings.
Common reasons
- The card is not supported
- International transactions are disabled
- Auto debit is not enabled
Supported cards
- Visa
- MasterCard
- International cards
Not supported
- Rupay cards
How to fix
Make sure your card has:
- International transactions enabled
- Auto debit enabled
You can activate these from your bank or mobile banking app.
My card is added, but messages are not delivering. Why?
If your business is located in India, you must add GST details in your Meta payment profile.
Without GST verification, Meta cannot charge for messaging services.
How to fix
- Go to Meta Payment Settings
- Open Payment Profile
- Add your GST details
- Complete payment profile verification
After verification, messages will start delivering normally.
My WhatsApp message limit is not increasing even after 7 days. Why?
WhatsApp increases messaging limits only when certain conditions are met.
WhatsApp messaging limit levels
- 250
- 2,000
- 10,000
- 50,000
- 100,000
- Unlimited
Requirements to increase the limit
- Business Portfolio must be verified
- Messages must be sent to unique phone numbers
- You must send at least half of your current messaging limit
Example
If your limit is 2,000, you must send at least 1,000 messages within 7 days.
After completing 7 days:
- Wait 24 hours
- The next limit will automatically increase.
Why is my WhatsApp display name not visible after registration?
The display name may not appear due to one of the following reasons:
- Business Portfolio not verified
- Display name not approved by Meta
- Using a co-existing WhatsApp number
How to fix
- Verify your Meta Business Portfolio
- Follow Meta display name guidelines
- Ensure the number is a WhatsApp API number
Important
If the number is a co-existing WhatsApp number (already used in the WhatsApp mobile app), the display name will appear only after getting the Official Business Verification (Blue Tick).
Why does my Co-existing WhatsApp get disabled repeatedly?
If you are using a Co-existing WhatsApp number (a number already used in the WhatsApp mobile app), Meta monitors its usage strictly. The number may get disabled repeatedly if Meta detects policy violations.
Common Reasons
- Using the number for personal conversations
- Starting new conversations without using approved templates
- Replying after 24 hours without using a template message
- Sending messages not related to your business
- Sending promotional or unrelated messages
Meta considers these actions as WhatsApp policy violations.
How to Avoid This Issue
- Use the number only for business communication
- Always use approved templates to start conversations
- Do not send personal or unrelated messages
- Follow the 24-hour customer service window rule
- Maintain good message quality and relevance
Following these guidelines will help prevent your WhatsApp from being disabled.
Why is my template message approval taking a long time?
WhatsApp template approval time can vary depending on Metaβs review process.
Typical Approval Time
Template approvals can take anywhere between:
5 seconds to 48 hours
Most templates are approved quickly, but sometimes Meta may take longer.
Important Note
If the approval takes up to 48 hours, this is normal.
There is no way to speed up the approval process, and no action is required from your side.
What You Should Do
- Wait for the review process to complete
- Do not resubmit the same template repeatedly
- Avoid making unnecessary changes during the review period
Once approved, the template will automatically become available for messaging.
Why should I verify my Meta Business Portfolio?
Verifying your Meta Business Portfolio confirms that your business is legitimate and trusted by Meta. Many WhatsApp Business API features require this verification.
Without verification, some important features may remain limited or unavailable.
Benefits of Business Portfolio Verification
Once your business portfolio is verified, you can:
- Increase your WhatsApp messaging limits
- Apply for Official Business Account (Blue Tick)
- Improve trust and credibility with Meta
- Reduce the risk of account restrictions
- Use advanced WhatsApp Business API features
Features That Require Business Verification
Some important features depend on business verification, such as:
- Higher messaging tiers (10K, 50K, 100K, Unlimited)
- WhatsApp display name approval
- Official business verification (Blue Tick)
- Certain Meta integrations and advanced features
When Should You Verify?
You should verify your business portfolio as soon as possible after onboarding, especially if you plan to:
- Send messages to a large number of customers
- Use WhatsApp for marketing or notifications
- Scale your business communication
How to Verify Your Business
- Go to Meta Business Portfolio
- Open Security Center
- Start Business Verification
- Upload the required documents
- Submit for review
Meta will review your business information and approve the verification once everything is confirmed.
