# 📂 Product Category Management

#### 📂 Product Category Management

Category Management in Flowbee helps you *organize your products into structured groups*, making it easier for customers to browse items inside WhatsApp and chatbot flows.

👉 Categories improve product discovery
👉 Helps in chatbot-based navigation
👉 Makes your eCommerce experience clean and user-friendly

#### Where to Open

Go to:

*E-commerce → Category*

#### Step 1: Select Catalog

Before creating categories:

1. Open *E-commerce*
2. Go to *Category*
3. Select your catalog from the dropdown

👉 All categories under the selected catalog will be displayed.

#### Step 2: Create Category

You can create categories to group your products.

1. Click *Add New Category*
2. Enter:

- Category name (e.g., Biryani, Electronics, Offers)
- Upload category image (optional)

1. Click *Save*

👉 Category will be created instantly.

#### Step 3: Add Products to Category

After creating a category, you can assign products to it.

1. Click on the category (expand option)
2. Click *Add Items*
3. Select products from your catalog
4. Save changes

👉 Selected products will appear under that category.

#### Step 4: Remove Products from Category

If needed, you can remove items from a category:

1. Open the category
2. Find the product
3. Click *Remove (❌)*

👉 Product will be removed only from the category (not deleted from catalog)

#### Step 5: Edit or Delete Category

Each category has options:

##### ✏️ Edit Category

- Change category name
- Update image

##### 🗑️ Delete Category

- Remove category completely

⚠️ Deleting a category will not delete the products inside it.

#### How Categories Are Used

Categories are used in multiple places:

#### 🛍️ WhatsApp Catalog

Customers can browse products category-wise

#### 🤖 Chatbot Flows

- You can show products by category
- Create menu-based navigation (e.g., “Select Category → Show Products”)

#### 🔗 E-commerce Links

Categories help structure product listings in shared links

#### Best Practices

- Keep category names simple and clear
- Avoid too many categories (keep it organized)
- Use categories based on:
- Product type
- Usage
- Offers / deals
- Always assign products to at least one category
