A Facebook Business Portfolio is a structure used by Meta to organize business assets like WhatsApp numbers, catalogs, and ad accounts—especially when working with partners like Flowbee.
In many cases, Meta will create a portfolio automatically during the onboarding process. But if it doesn’t, or if you’re managing multiple businesses, you can easily create one yourself.

💼 What Is a Business Portfolio? #
A Business Portfolio is like a folder inside your Meta Business Manager. It helps organize and group all of your business assets in one place:
- WhatsApp Business Accounts (WABAs)
- Product Catalogs
- Ad Accounts
- Facebook Pages
Portfolios are especially useful if you’re managing multiple brands, locations, or WhatsApp numbers under one Meta account.
🔄 When Do You Need to Create One? #
You might need to create a Business Portfolio if:
- You’re setting up WhatsApp API for the first time and Meta doesn’t create it automatically
- You’re onboarding multiple businesses under one Meta account
- You want more structured asset management (e.g. different catalogs per region or team)
In some cases, Flowbee’s Meta connection flow will handle this for you—but if not, here’s how to do it manually.
🛠️ Step-by-Step: Create a Business Portfolio #
✅ Step 1: Open Meta Business Settings #
Go to:
👉 https://business.facebook.com/settings/
Log in with the Facebook account that manages your business.
✅ Step 2: Go to “Business Info” #
- In the left sidebar, scroll down and click Business Info
- If you already have a Portfolio, it will be listed there
- If not, you’ll see the option to Create Portfolio
✅ Step 3: Fill in Portfolio Details #
- Enter a name for your portfolio (ideally your company or group name)
- Save and confirm
Once created, your portfolio will appear in your Meta Business Manager, and you can start assigning assets to it.
🔗 What Happens Next? #
After creating your portfolio:
- It becomes available for Flowbee to link your WhatsApp Business number
- Meta may assign new assets (like catalogs or WABA) to this portfolio by default
- You can manage it in the Meta Business Settings under “Business Info”
