Once a WhatsApp template is submitted for approval, you can’t change it directly. But don’t worry — Flowbee.io makes it easy to rebuild or clone a template with your updates. Here’s how to do it the right way.

🔹 Why Templates Can’t Be Edited Directly #

WhatsApp doesn’t allow editing of templates that are already:

• Approved ✅
• Pending ⏳

Even a small change (like a typo fix or emoji swap) requires a new submission.

✏️ So How Do You Make Changes? #

You have two simple options:

✅ Option 1: Clone and Modify #

1. Go to Templates > Your Templates
2. Find the template you want to update
3. Click the Clone icon (📄)
4. A copy of the template will open
5. Update the message content, media, buttons, or variables
6. Give it a new template name (e.g., summer_offer_v2)
7. Click Save to submit it for WhatsApp approval

✅ Option 2: Delete and Recreate (If Rejected or Unused) #

If the original template was:

• ❌ Rejected, or
• You haven’t used it yet,

You can:

1. Click the Delete icon (🗑️)
2. Start fresh by clicking + New Template
3. Rebuild it with the changes you need
4. Submit it again for approval

🧠 Naming Tip #

Give your new version a slightly different name:

• Instead of offer_june, use offer_june_v2
• This helps WhatsApp treat it as a new submission and makes version tracking easier for your team

• After saving, your new version will appear under Your Templates
